Laura & David – Manor by the lake wedding

Manor by the lake wedding.

Laura and David had their Manor by the lake wedding last week. Both the bride and groom were at the venue so I was able to photograph them both.

Preparing for the wedding.

Bride getting readyAs normal I started with the bridal preparation. Laura was in such a bubbly mood as she was getting ready for her wedding day with her bridesmaids and mother. her room at the Manor by the lake was beautiful and featured a four poster bed and spa bath tub, all set in a huge room overlooking the gardens.

groom getting readyI joined the groom in the “Rock Bar”. Adam was chilling out with his dad and groomsmen. The bar was filled with lots of music memorabilia and was the ideal place for them to relax before the wedding celebrations started.

The wedding venue.

Manor by the Lake Wedding venueThere was a little bit of extra time before the wedding ceremony was due to start so I had a little walk around the grounds. Manor by the lake is a stunning wedding venue set in beautiful grounds so I used this time to scope out some locations for later with the newlyweds.

The biggest surprise was when I was driving into the venue, I thought I had the wrong place at first. The area around the venue is not in keeping with the manor and its setting. On the way in you pass a retail park, film studio all just off the motorway, this wedding venue is a real oasis.

The wedding ceremony.

wedding ceremonyWith only 50 guests the wedding had a nice family feel to it and we were able to use one of the smaller rooms at the venue. Laura looked stunning as she entered the room and Adams first look was a beautiful picture.

Post wedding.

confetti shotAfter the ceremony, it was time for a quick confetti shot then lots of candid photographs as the couple mingled with their guests. The weather was perfect and in the beautiful grounds of this venue, it was like shooting fish in a barrel.

The wedding breakfast.

naked wedding cakeI was able to get into the reception room a few minutes before the bride and groom and start photographing the decorations. The couple had the chance to check the room too before they were hidden around the corner and the guests were brought in. I took my break in the Rock bar as the guest had the wedding breakfast, once again fantastic food.

I was back with the guests for the wedding speeches and they were lovely, simply sweet, from the heart and with plenty of laughs.

Newlyweds photo session.

First dance.

First danceThe timings worked out perfectly. Once we were done in the gardens it was time to head back into the venue. We went straight into cutting the cake, followed by the newlyweds first dance.
