Mohamed and Siba’s Arabic Wedding – Mottram Hall

Mottram Hall

Mohamed & Siba were married at the stunning Mottram Hall in Cheshire. The wedding service was a traditional Muslim/Arabic wedding that took place in the Garden Room at this beautiful wedding venue.

The wedding service.

30 close friends attended the service, family and the brides nominated representative. During the wedding service, Siba and her bridesmaids were in the bridal suite getting ready for the day’s proceedings.

After the ceremony.

After the formalities of the wedding were dealt with and the families had greeted and congratulated each other. I accompanied the groom to the bridal suite to see his bride before we went to the St. Andrews suite., where the rest of the wedding days festivities would be held.

The room had been beautifully decorated by lasting memories by Alison“. Both Siba and Mohamed were delighted with how amazing it looked.
While the staff at Mottram Hall gathered the wedding guest and lead them into the suite I took a walk with the newlyweds to get some couples photographs in the rose garden. After a while, we were joined by the bridesmaids for more photographs.

The wedding breakfast.

The couple made their grand entrance into the hall and were greeted and congratulated by their guests before the wedding breakfast was served and I took the opportunity to grab a quick break.
After the food was served we returned to the gardens to get some group photographs and have a little fun in the process.

The evening celebrations.

After the cake was cut the couple mingled with their guests before they retired to the bridal suite to freshen up and change for the evenings wedding celebrations.
Once the room had been turned around and the band were set up the bride and groom returned in more tradition dress ready to dance and party with their wedding guests.

  3. Arabic Weddings (Arabic: زفاف‎, فرح, or عرس) have changed greatly in the past 100 years. Original traditional Arabic weddings are supposed to be very similar to modern-day Bedouin weddings and rural weddings, and they are in some cases unique from one region to another, even within the same country. it most be mentioned that what some people today call “Bedouin” wedding is in fact the original true traditional Arab Islamic wedding without foreign influence.

The marriage process usually starts with meetings between the couple’s families, and ends with the wedding’s consummation (leilat al-dokhla). For a wedding to be considered Islamic, the bride and groom must both consent, and the groom is welcomed into the bride’s house—although only in the presence of her parents to maintain purity between both sides.

  4. I photographed a wedding there just the other week. The staff were fantastic and the food was excellent. The bride and groom and all their guest had an excellent day with zero hiccups – close to a perfect wedding venue.
