The Den – Bristol

Event photography comes in many shapes and sizes; The Student Union night at The Den in Bristol was defiantly not wedding photography but was lots of fun.
It feels a little different working them than I remember it was attending them but still a very good night. Lots of energy, lots of fun but this time I didn’t wake up hung over the following day! And we took some fun pictures too!

Simply Street Dance Show

The Simply Street dance show was put together by Sharon Routleff see www.simplystreet.co.uk and I was lucky enough to be selected as the event photographer.
The event was to raise money and awareness of the Make a Wish Foundation. I was asked to cover the event in both video and photography. A little bit of a challenge working alone but with the help of a good spot and a sturdy tripod I captured the video and was able to run around getting the shots that I wanted.

Burlesque with Heavens Edge

Elements 2011 @ Solus – Asian Society Night Cardiff

The Asian Society at Cardiff University held their Elements at the Solus Club this year and I was lucky enough to be invited along. I was there to offer the mini-studio but I couldn’t resist walking around and capturing lots of images of the night. A fantastic night with a great bunch of people.

Sophie ‘The UK’s Next Top Model’

What a pleasure this portrait photography shoot was with Sophie. It was one of those shoots where everything fell together smoothly. Every time we asked her to pose for her portrait she did it perfectly, she smiled, she giggled, she showed us her favourite dolls and tried on her sweetest costumes. She was a natural and such a little stunner.
We even managed to bring mum in for a few shots at the end of the session.

We will be going back to photograph her and her big brother and maybe mum and dad too in the next portrait sitting soon.

Rock Chick

Portrait photography can be very rewarding and this shoot was a real treat, Rachael wanted some promotional images for an upcoming event with her Evanescence tribute band. We turned up, set up, shot away and had lots of fun bringing out the rock chick that wasn’t hiding very deeply.

Racheal loves to perform at events and is as comfortable and confident on stage as she is in front of the camera.

What an event! What a night of photography! The Masquerade Ball at the Quantock View in Bridgewater, North Somerset was a fantastic night.
